EDITORIAL
Tuesday 2nd June 2026
It’s only Tuesday and already one Walford resident is fighting for his life, another is behind bars and another is preparing to face the battle of her life with all the odds stacked against her!
And we can’t breathe yet! There’s still more to come from the Night That Changed Everything! George and Nicola are set for a collision and there’s also even more bad news next week, as things get worse!
Next week, Chelsea is beside herself as it’s revealed that Jordan‘s treatment and rehabilitation isn’t working and more work is needed. With Chelsea despairing, Denise is focussing completely on her daughter and grandson – and declares that no one outside of her immediate contacts will find out about her personal battle with cancer. As Jack struggles to hold it together and Yolande rallies to Denise, Chelsea is beside herself with guilt, believing that it was her harsh words that prompted Jordan to flee!
Also next week, the aftermath of the night continues as George attempts to remove some of his anger by engaging in a bout in the boxing ring with Mark Fowler. Unfortunately, with his health issues going against him and all the stress after the incident with Eddie, George finds himself unconscious in the ring, with Phil on hand to get him back on his feet! Also, Gina also discovers Nicola’s payment, leading to a conversation between the two feisty women!
Over on the other side of the Square, Josh is also feeling guilty about letting Jordan out of his sight the night of the accident. And it’s his birthday this week too! As the twins celebrate separately, Kat arranges a dinner for the family, inviting both Josh and Jasmine in. But Zoe also insists that Jasmine’s boyfriend Oscar joins them, leading the tempted youngster to panic – and he’s caught by Kat, who instantly bans him from her grandchildren’s lives!
And there’s lots more to come as we head into that fateful flashforward to New Year’s Day 2027… Is Cindy the bride, or is someone even more unexpected waiting in the wings… And how will the Square react?

George confronts Nicola for making a secret deal with Eddie and her recent manipulation.
Later, George seeks an outlet for his anger by sparring with Mark at the boxing gym, but he goes too far and forces his opponent to fight back in defence. When a punch accidentally connects, George is knocked unconscious in the ring.
Meanwhile, Denise’s doctors urge her to admit herself to hospital immediately for treatment.
Denise refuses following Jordan’s accident involving Ian, much to Jack’s concern.
Elsewhere, Ian struggles with recent events.

Mark rushes in to help George following the incident in the ring, while Phil reveals that he never should have been boxing in the first place due to his brain injury.
When George refuses to go in for hospital treatment, Phil takes him home and tells Nicola everything. As the pair come face-to-face again, Nicola tries to justify the secret financial deal she made with Eddie.
Meanwhile, Josh tells Oscar about the circumstances surrounding the death of his and Jasmine’s foster dad. Oscar questions Jasmine on this, prompting her to slap him.
Later, Oscar gives into temptation by kissing Josh, but Kat sees them through the window.
Elsewhere, Harry warns Nicola to tell Gina the truth about her deal with Eddie, before she hears it somewhere else.
Wednesday 10th June 2026

After catching him cheating on Jasmine, horrified Kat warns Oscar to stay away from the family. She then tells Alfie what she saw, but they agree that it’s best to keep quiet so that Jasmine’s birthday celebrations aren’t ruined.
Oscar turns down Jasmine’s invitation to attend her birthday dinner, leaving her confused as she blames herself.
However, an oblivious Zoe later overrules Kat by insisting that Oscar should attend…
Meanwhile, Nicola tries to get through to George after recent events.
Elsewhere, Ian seeks redemption.
