It’s August, and that Flash Forward episode in January feels like a lifetime ago now – considering how quickly events in Walford can escalate! We now know enough that we can maybe start to pick apart the events of that fateful day… So, let’s pull up a chair, get a pint in, and let’s sift through it, eh?

Let’s start with where the episode started. The Queen Vic. Back in January, there was a smashed window – which didn’t bode well for the celebrations the night before! Tracey, barmaid supreme, was in charge of the pub, seemingly, but notice now that no one mentioned the absence of the Moons at all. In fact, Nicola and George seem quite cosy sitting there, like they owned the place…

Wait a minute… With Zoe apparently set to die shortly, maybe Kat and Alfie will be forced to leave the Vic..? Perhaps Kat doesn’t want to stay there – they may not even be on the Square at all! And in all the publicity shots of the arriving Hawkins family, they’re all outside the pub! Is this a hint that Nicola and company may be in the Vic by Christmas? After all, her and George are no strangers to pulling pints…

Max, Max, Max… We missed him when he was gone. Seriously, things just aren’t the same without a Branning causing chaos, caught with his pants down and impregnating half of Walford – just ask Jack!
But we all thought the Bride was obviously Cindy. Since she had the bouquet, it seemed likely. They’re currently engaged, but we also know that they’re due to get married in September! What goes wrong between now and then? Or is Cindy planning another twisted revenge?

Max has also been sleeping with Priya and she has now found herself engaged to Ravi and pregnant – with Max’s child. Is she the lady in the bed in the flash forward? Or has Max managed to get with someone else in the midst of all this mess?

In regards the Branning children and their love lives… well, it’s going to be messy either way. She’s still with Peter in the flash forward, but Lauren was texting someone rather suspiciously, and for now we still think it’s Mark. He’s currently away from the Square at Lauren’s request, but he’s clearly been back a while in the episode.

Oscar is still torn between Jasmine and Josh in the present, and still hasn’t reconciled with either of them. Could Oscar be dating another Trueman entirely… say, newcomer Grace?

So this brings us back to our main question Numero uno: who is the Bride? With Linda Carter leaving the Square at the same time, we think we can rule her out. We still don’t know where she’s going though…
Ian‘s comments about being ‘okay’ with the Bride could lead to Cindy, but we’re going to throw a wild card here and suggest that the Bride is none other than Chelsea! Who else has Ian bothered and upset this year, and why is he trying so hard, if not to make amends for the night that he hit poor Jordan? And we can easily see Chelsea causing a scene in the pub the night before her big day!

Jack is the final possible piece of the Branning puzzle and in the flash forward he’s clearly in a bad way. Denise is expected to be at the wedding, or Patrick and Libby wouldn’t be looking for her, so why is Jack in such a state? And if baby Ethan is Penny‘s child, where is Penny? Has something tragic occurred?

And where has Denise gone? Is she cancer free? Doubtful, since Libby seems worried. As to the phone call, time will tell…

The last time we updated this article, we had Ravi down as the person holding Oscar and Lauren at gun point. We know now that Ravi is shortly leaving the Square, and if he discovers Priya’s child isn’t his and is Max’s… well, we reckon Ravi will gladly try to take a child from Max too…

As for the crime Max is accused of, it could very well be Ravi that a hitman was hired to kill. But would Max really order a hitman to get rid of Ravi? Or has someone, maybe someone with form like Cindy, framed him? And who’s in the Roll’s Royce?

Whatever the truth, we only have four more months to wait! And then Walford as we know it will change. Forever.
To Be Continued…
