Buckle up, EastEnders fans! This week’s episodes are entirely focused on a single, explosive evening that has officially been dubbed ‘The Night that Changes Everything.’ Following the intense drama of Ross and Vicki’s wedding, the locals are gathered together—but the night is about to take some dark and life-altering turns for several residents.

But first we want to pay a personal tribute to actor Michael Keating who passed away this week. Aside from his fantastic role as Vila Restal in the science-fiction series Blake’s 7, Michael was a recurring and welcome site on the Albert Square lot, recurring as resident vicar Reverend George Stevens from 2005 to 2017, often lending his ear )and getting a headache as a result!) as he helped Dot Branning with her woes.

Everyone here at WalfordWalk.com wishes to express their condolences to Mr. Keating’s loved ones at this time.

Now, next week! The fallout from the wedding leaves Yolande worried when she realizes Denise is missing. She eventually tracks her down at Fox and Hair, where a devastated Denise finally breaks down and reveals her blood cancer diagnosis.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is completely oblivious to her mother’s struggles. She’s too busy flirting with Mark and coming dangerously close to kissing Zack. However, Chelsea’s world is suddenly turned upside down by an unexpected event. In true motherly fashion, Denise rushes to be by her daughter’s side in her hour of need – but in doing so, she ignores Yolande’s desperate advice to tell the rest of the family about her illness, as well as an urgent call from the hospital telling her she needs to begin treatment immediately.

Over at the Beales‘, things seem surprisingly peaceful – at least for a moment. Ian and a slightly tipsy Kathy share a genuinely touching mother-and-son moment, with Kathy expressing how proud she is of his recent election victory. But happiness is fleeting in Walford. A sudden knock at the door changes the mood entirely, and Ian suddenly realises he is at risk of losing absolutely everything.

At the reception, Max has officially had enough. Sick and tired of the constant criticism surrounding his relationship with Cindy, he decides it’s time to take drastic action to prove the doubters wrong. His plan? A highly public marriage proposal. But is he doing it for love, or just to spite the rest of Walford? More importantly—will Cindy actually say yes?

At No.1, the Knight family drama reaches a boiling point when Gina, armed with fresh information from Harry, confronts George about Eddie’s recent behaviour. But that isn’t the only bombshell waiting for George. He finally learns the sickening truth: his ‘dad’ has been paying Nicola to stay with them. Disgusted, George completely renounces Eddie. However, in a desperate bid to protect the rest of his family from the fallout, George makes a hasty decision—one he could very well live to regret.

Over the road, Kat is sent into a panic, terrified that she and Alfie might have accidentally given the wedding guests food poisoning. Elsewhere, Priya is missing Ravi and decides to distract herself from her feelings by seeking attention elsewhere…

Until next time…
