HE’S BACK!
Confirmation has dropped that Christopher Fairbank is reprising his role as the sinister Eddie Knight for a “short but explosive” stint this spring. We all remember the chilling revelations from 2024 – George discovering the truth about his biological father and Eddie eventually being sent down for that horrific racially motivated attack.
Well, the prison walls can’t keep Eddie away from the drama for long. It looks like his return is set to kick off a massive new storyline that will put George right back in the firing line. Producers are teasing “troubling times” ahead for the entire Knight family, and with Eddie’s track record, we know he’s not coming back to make amends. Is George ready for round two with his adoptive father?

Sorry. Was that not the news you were looking for?
Okay, let’s do that again:
HE’S BACK!
For real this time!
It’s going to be an absolutely massive week on the Square! Hold onto your hats because one of Walford’s favourite sons is finally returning, but it’s certainly not for a celebration.
It’s been set up as an emotionally charged week as we prepare to say goodbye to a loved one. When Grant finally arrives back in Walford, he’s hit with the heart-breaking reality that Nigel’s condition is much worse than anyone realised. As if that wasn’t enough drama, Grant and the rest of the Mitchell clan have another major concern: Phil.

The drama for the Mitchell brothers is reaching a fever pitch! Just as Julie makes the incredibly tough decision to stop Nigel’s treatment and focus on making him comfortable, Billy raises the alarm that Phil has gone missing. This sends everyone into a panic.
Grant, in classic Mitchell fashion, manages to track his brother down, but just as he does, his world is turned upside down by a phone call. It’s Julie, calling with devastating news: Nigel doesn’t have long left. This leaves Grant facing the ultimate dilemma: Does he stay and support his brother, or does he abandon Phil in his time of need to rush back and say a final goodbye to his old friend?
Thankfully, after what sounds like an intense and emotional confrontation, Grant manages to convince Phil to come home. Phew! They make it just in time for Phil to see Nigel one last time before he sadly passes away.
But the tragedy isn’t over yet; despite the community coming together to celebrate Nigel’s life, Grant and Linda are left seriously worried about Phil’s state of mind. We have a feeling this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better…

But wait, there’s even more going on in the Square this week! It’s not just about the Mitchells…
First up, Ravi has been diagnosed with complex PTSD. This is obviously going to be a massive storyline going forward, Whether karma or not, it’s a condition that effects so many, and it’s so important to tell this tale. We can’t wait to see how this plays out and how his family supports him.
And on a lighter (?) note, Cindy has agreed to a date with Max! Talk about a pairing! We’re intrigued to see where this “budding relationship” is heading, but it sounds like things are already getting complicated. Apparently, the secret romance was is close to being rumbled by Lauren. How long can they keep this under wraps?

We can’t keep up! Until next time!
Kind Regards,
The Curator

Grant returns to Walford and learns that Phil has been refusing to see Nigel. When Grant goes to see his old friend in the care home, he’s upset that Phil didn’t tell him how unwell Nigel is sooner. Afterwards, Grant has a heart-to-heart with Sam.
Back on the Square, tensions rise further as Phil kicks Sam and Mark out of No.55. With Phil clearly on the edge, Sam reckons that Grant is the only one who can help him.
Meanwhile, Ravi begins therapy at the mental health unit after being diagnosed with complex PTSD.
Elsewhere, Cindy agrees to a date with Max but originally intends to stand him up. When Cindy sees Max talking to Linda, though, she feels jealous and changes her mind.

Phil continues to distance himself from Nigel and his family, believing that none of them need him. Julie makes the tough decision to stop Nigel’s treatment and focus on making him comfortable. She informs Grant about her decision, while Billy tries to convince Phil to see Nigel.
With Grant by his bedside, Nigel wakes up and requests something from his past. Grant goes in search of it – giving Phil a piece of his mind along the way.
When Phil goes AWOL, Grant reckons he knows where to find him and heads to a beach. Julie calls Grant, revealing that Nigel doesn’t have long left. Grant is torn between his duties to Phil and Nigel – who will he decide to be there for?
