Following her parents’ separation, her mother Stacey Slater and stepfather figure Martin Fowler provided a loving, albeit chaotic, home alongside her half-siblings Arthur and Hope in the crowded Slater household.
Lily’s relationship with Stacey was shaped by intense loyalty and shared hardship. Growing up alongside her mother’s struggles with bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis, Lily often felt protective, scared, and deeply connected to her. Despite brief separations due to hospitalizations, prison terms, and the occasional explosive argument, Stacey’s fierce maternal instincts taught Lily that family comes above everything else.
At just twelve years old, Lily faced her biggest challenge when she became pregnant by her friend Ricky Mitchell.
