We start with sad news again this week, as news reaches us that Elizabeth Kelly, the actress behind one of the 90’s funniest EastEnders legends, Nellie Ellis, has passed at the grand age of 104.

Aunty Nellie arrived on the Square in 1993 shortly after attending her nephew Pete‘s funeral. She decided to stay on in Walford, to watch Pauline and to render aid – and ensuring that her husband Arthur couldn’t get up to anything resembling dodgy!
Outside of EastEnders, Kelly had a long career in showbusiness. She appeared in all three of the big soaps, and returned in 2000 to Albert Square for Ethel Skinner‘s funeral. Kelly had roles in The Bill, Heartbeat and Where the Heart Is, the latter two Sunday prime time staples. Her last acting role was in 2007, in an episode of Heartbeat spin-off The Royal.
All of us here at WalfordWalk.com offer our sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Now, we don’t know about you, but last week we nearly had a heart attack when Nigel slipped under the water! Crikey, what a moment of suspense and relief! And this week, there’s plenty of drama as Jake Moon returns to get answers. And poor Nugget Gulati has a medical emergency!
And speaking of Jasmine, she’s not gone for long. A tabloid newspaper has reported that a young actor named Joshua Vaughan has joined the cast as Oscar Branning‘s new love interest – who, according to the press, is Jasmine’s twin brother and Zoe‘s long-lost son! EastEnders doesn’t comment on future storylines, but surely it’s only a matter of time until the son arrives anyway?

Next week, there’s trouble in paradise, and just in time for Valentine’s Day. Johnny is keen to make more of his business and asks mate Tim for a meeting. Tim agrees – on the proviso that Callum also attend. Aware that he has a crush on his other half, Johnny asks Cal to attend – but the night goes disastrously wrong!
Later, news of Cal’s divorce to Ben prompts another argument and then, just when things can’t get much more tense, there’s a knock at the door from an old acquaintance of Ben’s – and he needs a favour… We all know three’s a crowd… so will Callum and Johnny come together or fall epically apart?

Also next week, the hunt is on. Determined to track Jasmine down, Kat finally finds her granddaughter and convinces her to come home to Vic – if not for her, then for Patrick, who’s burying son Anthony this week – and is devastated when Jasmine is not amongst the mourners.
But when Jasmine returns to Walford, she finds more than she bargained for when she bumps into Jake Moon and Chrissie Watts! Has she been set up? Has Kat betrayed her? And who will the police arrest when they arrive?

Also next week, Harry and Kojo aim to move back into the flat and live together again. Are they both ready? George and Nicola aren’t too sure.
And, just when we thought things would quiet down, you realise it’s been a year since Martin Fowler died, Angie told Sharon to get up off the floor and Reiss got squished by a bathtub. Sam Mitchell steps in on her way out of Walford when she stops to help Lily Slater, who’s struggling alone without mum Stacey on the anniversary of her dad’s death.
Will Lily change Sam’s mind about leaving?

Until next time… Keep safe! Regards!
