There’s always a quiet one in every family, one who shies away from the spotlight, away from the drama and prefers to live in their own little world, and whether it’s his autism dictating his decisions or whether he wants to remain out of the way, Barney seems to be perfectly content to let the world go by with his head in a book.

This, of course, means he’s naturally more observant than most about the world around him, and it’s made him firm friends with Avani, who he has a little bit of a crush on.

However, Barney’s life threatened to unravel when it turned out his dad Teddy wasn’t his dad at all – local lad Zack Hudson was. Finding himself unexpectedly torn between his Mitchell life and his Watts roots, Barney decided to give his relationship with Zack a try when Teddy went down for murder.
