Last Appeared: 23rd August 1999

Alex Healy made quite the entrance as Walford’s new vicar, bringing a bit of divine intervention to the Square. Armed with a mission and a compassionate heart, Alex ran the homeless shelter, Bridge House, with the help of the devout Sarah Hills. Despite the noble cause, the residents of Walford weren’t all that thrilled, but that didn’t deter Alex from his path.

Amidst all the good deeds, cupid struck, and Alex found himself falling for Kathy Mitchell, whose marriage to Phil Mitchell was on the rocks. Their romance blossomed in the shadow of Kathy’s crumbling relationship with Phil, adding a layer of drama worthy of any soap opera. Unfortunately, this love story didn’t have a fairytale ending. When Kathy decided to leave for South Africa, she ignored Alex’s heartfelt pleas to stay, leaving him heartbroken and single once more.

Despite the personal setback, Alex’s dedication to his calling never wavered. He continued his vicar duties and worked tirelessly at the homeless shelter. However, his time in Walford was not destined to be forever. A new adventure called, and Alex left the Square to work on a mission in Somalia, proving his commitment to helping those in need, no matter the distance.
