Vicki Fowler’s life in Albert Square was anything but ordinary. Born in May 1986, Vicki was named in honor of her great-grandparents, Lou and Albert Beale. She was raised by her mother, Michelle Fowler, and her fiancé, Lofty Holloway. Although Den Watts was her biological father, a secret Michelle and Den agreed to keep under wraps, Den still provided for Vicki secretly. However, the secret was blown wide open when Vicki’s grandmother, Pauline Fowler, caught Den giving money to Michelle and realized the truth, giving Den a well-deserved slap.

Vicki’s early years were filled with drama, from phantom pregnancies to tumultuous family dynamics. After her grandmother Pauline discovered Den was Vicki’s father, tensions ran high. Lofty’s pressure to adopt Vicki and have another child led to the breakdown of his marriage with Michelle. Vicki’s survival of meningitis in 1989 was another critical moment, reuniting Michelle and Sharon. When Michelle decided to go on the run with Clyde Tavernier after he was accused of murder, Vicki and Clyde’s son, Kofi, were caught up in the chaos and placed in a children’s home before being returned to their grandmothers.

A teenage Vicki returned to Walford in 2003, running away from home after clashing with Michelle. Her manipulative and mischievous nature quickly surfaced, moving in with Sharon and persuading their half-brother, Dennis Rickman, to join them. Vicki’s pregnancy by Spencer Moon led to a dramatic offer from Sharon to raise the baby, but Vicki chose to terminate the pregnancy. The revelation that Den Watts was alive and living in Spain further complicated matters, leading to his return and eventual family reunion.

In 2004, Vicki’s whirlwind romance with her 46-year-old college lecturer, Tommy Grant, caused outrage within her family, especially Chrissie Watts. Chrissie’s clever manoeuvre to expose Tommy’s true nature eventually opened Vicki’s eyes. By Christmas, family tensions peaked, and a heartbroken Vicki overheard Den admitting he loved Sharon more than her. Deciding she couldn’t stay with such a father, Vicki returned to her mother in America. Later, it was revealed she moved to Australia and reunited with Spencer Moon, continuing her journey far from the drama of Walford.

In 2025, to represent her mum, Vicki returned to Walford for the funeral of her uncle Martin. But Sharon and the Moons had a further shock when she rocked up with new fella Ross Marshall!
