Li Chong was an unforgettable character whose time in Walford was short but packed with drama. She first appeared at Walford Video, where she was selling Cantonese DVDs to Mickey Miller. This business arrangement quickly caught the eye of Mickey’s teenage brother Darren, who had his own plans. Darren tried to make a move by pretending Mickey wanted to cook dinner for Li. The plan backfired spectacularly when Li tied Darren to his bed and scrawled “Loser” on his forehead with lipstick. Talk about leaving a lasting impression!

Li’s romance with Mickey was a wild ride. After moving into Gus Smith’s flat together, Mickey got a shock when he discovered Li was growing cannabis on the side. She had a cheeky response though, blaming Mickey’s lousy job prospects for her green-fingered venture. Then, when Mickey couldn’t land a post boy gig at Bradley Branning’s office, Li took matters into her own hands — by advertising Mickey as an escort behind his back! Gus spilled the beans, Mickey flipped, and Li was ordered to cancel the ad. Mickey then dropped the bombshell that he wanted something more serious. Li, stunned, packed her bags, left Walford, and was never seen again.
