It’s shaping up to be another tense week in Walford, with birthdays forgotten, lies broadcast to the Square, and more than one family pushed to breaking point.

Bea starts the week feeling thoroughly sorry for herself when not a single resident remembers her birthday. Honey, being Honey, tries to offer a bit of kindness — and Bea, being Bea, immediately twists it. She wastes no time trying to convince Honey that Billy is controlling her after their disastrous date.

Enter Phil Mitchell, who decides to “fix” the situation in the most Phil way imaginable: by handing Bea an envelope of cash and suggesting she leave Walford altogether. Naturally, this goes about as well as you’d expect. Bea promptly exposes the bribe in public, using it to drive an even bigger wedge between Honey and Billy. And when that doesn’t get her the attention she wants, she ups the ante by falsely claiming Billy tried to sleep with her — sparking a furious showdown back at No. 18.

Over at The Vic, tensions flare between Suki and Vinny before the pair finally manage to sit down for a much‑needed heart‑to‑heart. It’s a difficult week for the Panesar clan: the anniversary of Jag’s death lands on the exact same day as Suki and Eves adoption panel. As if that wasn’t enough, a run‑in with Nicola leaves Suki rattled before she even reaches the meeting. When the panel starts asking about her other children, the weight of everything becomes too much. Vinny does his best to lift her spirits afterwards, but trouble is brewing elsewhere — Nicola is busy badmouthing Suki at Harry’s Barn, and a drunken Eve doesn’t take it well.

What should be a happy moment for the Fox‑Trueman family turns into something far darker. Jordan’s return from hospital ought to be a celebration, and Chelsea is wrestling with whether to let Sheila into her grandson’s life. But all joy evaporates when Jack arrives from the hospital with devastating news: not one member of the family is a stem cell match for Denise. A shattered Chelsea retreats to the café to process it all — only to be hit with yet another shock.

Meanwhile, Callum gets to play hero when he steps in to rescue Lindas salsa class from a drunken troublemaker at the community centre. Later, Linda and Max share a surprisingly tender moment… until Cindy arrives and ruins the mood.

And finally, a touch of festive chaos descends on Walford as Nicola ropes Harry, Barney and Gina into their annual Half Christmas tradition. As the decorations go up and spirits lift, Nicola quietly reassures George that he doesn’t have to attend Eddie’s funeral if he doesn’t want to.

But maybe it’s not about wanting. Maybe he needs to go – if only to find some measure of peace…

Until next time…
