Heather Trott was a beloved character in Albert Square, known for her love of cheese, karaoke, and George Michael. She started off living with her controlling mother, Queenie Trott, but soon moved in with her best mate, Shirley Carter. Heather’s life took a turn when she became friends with Hazel Hobbs, who asked her to be a bridesmaid at her wedding to Minty Peterson. When Hazel left Minty, Heather pretended to be Hazel to stay in a wedding competition, and she and Minty grew closer. On the eve of the wedding, Heather realised she had fallen for Minty, and they got married. However, the marriage was annulled as it was never consummated. Despite her feelings for Minty, Heather tried to move on, even visiting what she thought was George Michael’s house with Shirley.

Heather’s life was never short of drama. After a night out at R&R, she ended up pregnant following a one-night stand with Darren Miller, much to everyone’s shock. She named her son George Michael, after her idol. Darren, being much younger, wasn’t keen on fatherhood but agreed to support Heather financially. This revelation caused quite a stir in Walford, especially when Libby Fox, Darren’s girlfriend, spilled the beans to everyone. Heather faced criticism from Libby’s mum, Denise, who accused her of using a child to have a child.

Financial struggles were a constant for Heather, especially after Shirley moved in with Phil Mitchell. Billy Mitchell and Jay Brown moved in to help, but things were still tough. Heather’s boiler broke down, leading to a near-fatal carbon monoxide poisoning incident. Darren stepped in to care for George, but Heather eventually took him back. She even tried her hand at internet dating, only to be catfished by Ben Mitchell, who pretended to be “Kevin68”. Despite the deception, Heather forgave Ben, showing her big-hearted nature.

Heather’s love life saw a glimmer of hope when she met Andrew Cotton during a holiday in Southend-on-Sea. They hit it off, and after some initial hesitation, Heather accepted Andrew’s proposal. However, their relationship was rocky, with Andrew’s temper causing concern. Heather’s attempts to reconcile with Shirley before her wedding were met with rejection, adding to her emotional turmoil. Tragically, Heather’s life was cut short when Ben Mitchell, fearing she had overheard incriminating information, killed her in a fit of rage.

Heather Trott’s journey in Walford was filled with ups and downs, laughter and tears. Her love for George Michael, her unwavering friendship with Shirley, and her resilience in the face of adversity made her a memorable character. Even in her final moments, Heather’s warmth and kindness shone through, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her. Indeed, years later, Dot would find a voice message from Heather that reminded her to always be strong and have faith in herself and the people around her.
