We hadn’t even reported on Jake Moon‘s imminent return yet, but even we didn’t realise his comeback would be so soon!

Last seen escorting lover Chrissie Watts out of Walford in September 2024, long-time viewers will remember that the audience was stunned to see him – after all, when he originally left the Square in 2006, he himself was being escorted – by two of Johnny Allen‘s vicious hitmen!

Alfie believes his cousin to be brown bread, just like the rest of us did, considering Jake’s penchant for hanging with the wrong crowd. But next week, Jake rocks up to visit jailbird Zoe Slater – wanting to know the exact details of what happened Christmas Day.

When Kat and Vicki (unexpected and delightful together!) track the missing Moon, they convince him to come home to Walford to visit Alf – who’s about to have the shock of his life!

Also next week, Linda starts smiling at Max Branning.

Alarm bells should be ringing by now. But when it turns out that Ollie‘s bully is none other than grandson Louie, Max takes the lad to task for his childhood recklessness. This impresses Linda, who, having already been there and bought the t-shirt, thinks she may have misjudged the local lothario.

Nah!

And Bea is still determined to right the perceived wrongs of Suki Panesar. But is she getting rather obsessed? And is it Linda or Honey she’s after? Either way, Elaine hasn’t taken to the newcomer one bit! Can Bea pull the wool over Elaine’s beady peepers…?

We don’t fancy her chances!

And also this week, poor Lexi receives some news about her family that leaves her in need of some TLC…

See ya all soon! Keep warm if you’re in the snow!

Now then… What are the chances, this being EastEnders, that Vicki Fowler will be expecting something unexpected in nine months time?

Be safe!
