All the latest updates and news down Walford way!
EDITORIAL, Tuesday 19th August 2025
There’s a well-known phrase: Don’t count your chickens before they’ve hatched. That’s a piece of advice Phil had better take very quickly – whenever there’s live poultry on the Square something usually ends up on a plate! – despite Julie’s stance on the topic.
Meanwhile, other people are also counting things this week.
The Fox-Truemans are counting down the days until the second wedding of Patrick and Yolande. But while Yolande is counting her blessings, and Kim prepares the seating chart, it’s Howie who should be counting – counting down the minutes until he has to confess his part in the burglary that left Patrick in hospital! After all, Oscar may have committed the crime, but Howie’s blackmail has made the situation twenty times worse!
And what happens this week, when Oscar prepares to confess?

Elsewhere, Peter is none-to-thrilled to find out what Lauren has been up to, and another old face returns as Anthony returns home for his father’s wedding! But eleven years is a long time, and the former Doctor Trueman finds the Square a very different place than when he left…
There’s also a sneak peak at the reunion fans have been waiting for as Ballum reunite – albeit at Callum‘s father’s funeral, but still, the love is still there! But look at Johnny‘s face… oh my!

And finally, next week Tommy goes missing. But he’s also in possession of a secret! He knows where Alfie has been and who exactly he’s been looking for.
Where has Tommy gone? And, more importantly, will he be responsible for bringing big sister Zoe home to Walford?

As usual, there’s only one way to find out.
We’ll be back for more next week. And if you’ve seen the trailers, you’ll know Kat‘s about to receive the mother of all shocks.
Until then, stay safe, keep watching… and count those chickens…
Regards,
The Curator
