Mike returns and demands £5,000 from Oscar in return for his family’s safety. When his initial attempt to raise the cash fails, Oscar is forced to seek help from Lauren.

At the same time, Patrick and Howie win £6,000 on a bet. Yolande is unhappy when she finds out that Patrick is still gambling behind her back, so she calls the wedding off.

Later, Oscar breaks into No.20 to steal Patrick’s gambling winnings. Patrick catches him in the act, so Oscar pushes him over. There’s a terrible outcome when Patrick falls to the floor and is knocked unconscious.

Meanwhile, Eve remains unconvinced over Suki’s plan as Avani prepares for her 12-week scan. Eve looks for an opportunity to speak to Avani alone.

There’s further tension when Vinny arrives back from Ash’s wedding, but Eve encourages Suki to talk to her son.

Elsewhere, Ross worries when he receives a call from Joel’s mum.

Oscar panics over what he’s done to Patrick. As he prepares to leave, Howie returns and stumbles across the shocking situation, although he doesn’t spot Oscar’s face.

Later, as Patrick is rushed to hospital, Lauren becomes suspicious over Oscar’s involvement as he keeps expressing concern for Patrick. With Oscar preparing to leave Walford, Lauren confronts him with the stolen money.

Meanwhile, Ross informs Joel that his mum is getting remarried. Later, Joel and Tommy get in trouble for stealing booze from the barrel store at The Vic. When they’re confronted over their behaviour, Joel lashes out with derogatory language towards Kat – which shocks both set of parents.

Elsewhere, Eve and Avani are forced to lie to Priya after she finds a receipt from the hospital.

Also today, Elaine struggles now that she doesn’t work at the pub.

Patrick’s family wait for further updates at the hospital, while the police arrive to take a witness statement from Howie.

Oscar worries as the police carry out door-to-door visits around the Square. Lauren rebukes Oscar for his behaviour and the teen considers running away to escape the heat.

Meanwhile, Ross makes another attempt to get through to his son after Joel’s latest bad behaviour. Things only get worse when Ross makes a worrying discovery on Joel’s laptop and decides to destroy it.

Elsewhere, Elaine helps out at The Albert again and Cindy decides to offer her the position of co-manager.

Vicki finds out what’s been going on with Joel and urges Ross to be firm with the teen before things get out of hand. Ross ends up having a heart-to-heart with Harvey in the café, which leaves him thoughtful.

When Joel apologises for his behaviour, Kat agrees to let him spend time with Tommy again. Vicki and Stacey strike up a bond as they discuss parenting and men, but Joel overhears their conversation and shows his true colours again as he reacts angrily.

Meanwhile, Callum flirts with Johnny over text, before trying to buoy Lexi following a phone call from Ben.

Jay spots the flirtatious exchange on Callum’s phone and warns him against it.
