You step away from your desk for a few days and take a break – only to find a mountain of news waiting for you when you return! It’s been that sort of week here at WalfordWalk.com, but we’ve managed to pull this week’s edition out of thin air just in time for deadline!

Let’s start with good news for a change, eh?

How about this? Gemma Bissix has finally been confirmed to return to Walford as Nigel‘s step-daughter, Clare Bates! It’s been 18 years since Clare fled the Square after trying to steal Bradley Branning‘s cash. In fact, the only friend she made at the time was Chelsea Fox. We think she will be relying on Chelsea quite a bit soon…

More than that though, it’s been a further ten years since Nigel and Clare have been seen together – so finally, after 28 years, the duo are reunited on the Square where they met. More on Clare in a minute…

More news comes from location filming. It’s seems that a familiar building in Aylesbury is once again doubling up as Walford Courts. Considering the cast seen around the location, including Michelle Ryan as Zoe and her long-lost son played by Joshua Gideon, we can assume that scenes are for Jasmine‘s impending murder trial!

Onto next week now, and Clare’s big return! With Nigel about to go into care, Phil and Julie are worried when he asks to see Clare. After Lexi convinces Julie to call her errant stepdaughter to Walford though, Clare turns up, furious that she hasn’t been told about Nigel’s condition!

Also this week, Linda may regret interfering in someone else’s life, as she tries to help son Johnny out of his scrape with sleazy Tim Walton! Tim’s been blackmailing Johnny over Callum breaking into his house – even though Tim set it all up! Now, Linda wants Tim gone – and doesn’t mind saying so. But when Max takes Tim on an unscheduled trip in a motor, has Linda put him up to it, or is this Max, desperate to prove his worth to her?

And just how far will he go?

Until next time… Keep safe! Regards!
