Hold onto your hats, Walfordians – Max Branning is almost here…
Next week, after five years away, Max returns to Albert Square – and absolutely no one will be happy to see him! And while he’s anxious to catch up with Lauren and Jack, he has no idea Oscar is waiting to see him. There’s also the small matter of his former lovers over at the Slater house, namely Stacey and Zoe! How will they react to seeing the man that changed their lives?
Meanwhile, Peter is pulling out all the stops to plan the perfect surprise for Lauren! But will he pull it off? There’s also trouble for Jean this week, when she needs a helping hand – and an unexpected ally comes to her aid! The start of a beautiful friendship?
And elsewhere, Harry thinks things are looking up when a rival gang starts poking around Walford and threaten Okie. But Ravi has no intention of giving up the flat – and now Nicola is about to enter the fray! We wouldn’t want to be around her with any sharp objects if we were Ravi!
So, get comfy and get the popcorn out. It may be a short stay for now, but Max Branning will be back – and this time he’s single and unattached! And just to get you in the spirit of things, check out the Albert Square lot at the moment – filming for Christmas has begun!

Monday 29th September 2025

Peter and his loved ones put the plans in place for Lauren’s surprise wedding. However, the timing could be awkward as some comments from Penny cast doubt on Lauren and Peter’s relationship.
Later, Lauren and Penny arrive at The Vic to meet up with Peter, but they’re shocked to find that the pub has been set up for a wedding. Setting his plan in motion, Peter asks Lauren to marry him…
Meanwhile, Lily is adamant that she and Charli will be staying in Walford, rather than heading off to Brazil with Stacey. When Stacey arrives at The Albert for her leaving drinks, she reveals that she’s decided to stay in Walford after all. However, Stacey seems to be covering her true feelings and Lily fears that her mum has made the wrong choice.
Elsewhere, Okie is attacked after tensions with another drug gang. Harry helps with the clean-up, but this lands him in Gina’s bad books when he’s a no-show before the wedding.

Lauren reluctantly agrees to the wedding, before heading off to No.25 to get ready. Penny senses that Lauren is overwhelmed – and her theory seems to be bang on the money as Lauren attempts to flee.
Later, as the occasion gets under way, will Lauren go through with it? And what will happen when Max arrives?
Meanwhile, Harry asks Nicola to help him get out of his debt with Ravi once and for all. Nicola intervenes by threatening to call Ravi’s bosses if he continues manipulating her son.
Later, Ravi makes it clear to Okie that Kojo and the flat will remain vital to their operation.
Elsewhere, Jasmine faces trouble with the Slaters after demanding that they pay for their drinks up front.

Max’s return shocks the residents of Walford – with Stacey and Zoe particularly surprised. However, Max’s first focus is Lauren and Peter.
Kat tries to keep Zoe and Max apart after spotting them talking, but Max seems more interested in Stacey as he follows her back to No.31.
Oscar also attempts to get Max’s attention, but his dad is distracted by Zoe.
Later, Zoe and Lily convince Stacey to go ahead with the move to Brazil.
Meanwhile, Peter is uneasy over Max’s presence on the Square – fearing what will happen if Cindy returns.
Elsewhere, Gina and Harry decide to book a last-minute weekend away, but will everything go according to plan?
Also today, Priya lies about her evening plans in the hope of making Ravi jealous.

Recent events have consequences for all involved.
Stacey and Mo try to contact Jean, but they’re unaware that she’s stuck on the Tube with Priya – oblivious to the full drama unfolding at home. Priya steps in to support Jean when she has a panic attack.
Meanwhile, Lauren orders Max to leave Walford after another big argument.
Elsewhere, Cindy is shaken by the news that Max is back, and she decides to confront the man who killed her son.
