Tobias “Okie” Okyere had stormed into Albert Square like he owned it — no introductions, no apologies. Already deep in the local drug trade, Ravi had known him, maybe even worked for him, but when Okie had slagged off the Panesar name, Ravi had turned in a flash. The retaliation had been violent, swift, and Okie had backed down. The power dynamic had shifted, but it had remained layered. There had been fear, yes — but also a trace of mutual respect.

The incident had doubled as a threat, aimed not at Okie, but at Harry Mitchell. Ravi had used Okie’s public humiliation as a live demonstration of what happened when someone crossed him. And that had set the tone.

Okie had held links to Nicola Mitchell too, resident club owner and wildcard in her own right. The way she had reacted had suggested past dealings, unfinished business, or worse — shared territory. If Okie and Nicola had been on parallel tracks, something combustible had been inevitable.

Confident, brash, and unrepentant, Okie had shown no care for how his drug trade damaged lives. He had trashed Ravi’s family without hesitation. And yet, when Ravi had hit back, Okie had folded with calculated silence. That contradiction had made him dangerous. He had thrived in chaos but had known when to retreat. A wildcard, yes — but not one playing for distraction. He had been lethal by design.

Until he had got too big for his boots. When Ravi had backed off, Okie had taken over — relishing the power he held over flatmates Harry Mitchell and Kojo Asare. He had manipulated his way into their lives, used them as mules, and force-fed them drugs.

When he cornered Kojo, it was Harry to the rescue, who fatally stabbed Okie in the struggle that followed.
