All the latest updates and news down Walford way!
EDITORIAL, Tuesday 13th May 2025
It’s always sad when an actor decide to leave for pastures new. We’ve been through them all over the years; Some characters go as quietly as they arrived and are never heard from again (Li Chong, Preeti Choraria, Finlay Baker, the Ferreiras), but some characters create such an impression that when they leave, the show takes some getting used to without them!
Let’s take some recent exits as an example: Martin‘s, and of course Ruby‘s as well, was beautiful and it was what the show needs after a big event – a time of reflection and looking ahead. And we’re still picking up the pieces! Also, Sonia‘s exit, full of rebirth and renewal…

But now Stacey‘s going… and we wish Lacey Turner all the best with whatever she does next! Having listened to her recent podcast, we would love to see her branch out! Does anyone else remember how great she was in Our Girl? The woman is an acting superstar, so we’re sure it won’t be long before the next massive role comes her way! And, we doubt this is the last of Stacey Slater… not by a longshot!

But that’s still months away! This week Lauren has a crisis – and nobody wants to believe her! And speaking of Stacey, the build-up to that exit begins now as Lily clashes with her mother once again! But this time, it’s time for a Slater Intervention.
Can’t imagine it’ll be a quiet chat.
Until next time, enjoy, keep safe and be kind. Oh, and Mr. Danny Dyer – that BAFTA was much deserved. Big congrats from all here at A Walk Through Walford!

Peter rushes to the hospital with Ian and Linda present for support, but Lauren is stunned that he thinks she’s using again.

Stacey leaves the house for the first time in weeks and suggests a family meal, but Kat fears that she’s doing too much too soon. Shortly afterwards, Stacey panics when she learns that her coat and mobile phone have fallen into the laundry bag and Freddie has taken it to be washed.
As the phone contains precious voicemails, photos and texts from Martin, Stacey is frantic as they’ll be lost forever if the phone is damaged. As she rushes off to deal with the situation, Alfie is shocked when Arthur shares a secret with him.
Later, Kat and Lily fear that Stacey is experiencing a bipolar episode at the salon. Alfie then shares the news from Arthur, and an incident between Stacey and Lily leaves their relationship at breaking point.
Meanwhile, Lauren and Peter return home with Jimmy. The couple share an emotional moment as Lauren tries to convince Peter that things are going to be alright.
