EDITORIAL, Tuesday 29th April 2025
Now THAT’s the Teddy Mitchell we’ve been waiting for – we knew the sweater-over-the-shoulder nice guy act would fall eventually – and now he’s covering up murders! And what was that look when Harry admitting liking Gina Knight… could Shireen‘s murder have been racially-motivated? What else is Nicola hiding from her family?


Now, onto the subject of next week! While Harry’s nursing hangovers, Nigel continues to struggle, bless him. But, as the Vic prepares to re-open for the first time since February’s explosion, Linda and Phil have just the party to help Nige – A VE Day Celebration.
To celebrate 80 years since VE Day was declared, EastEnders are going all out, showing London in the present day and flashing back to the end of World War II using archive television footage from the actual event! Also, they’ll be several musical moments to reflect the occasion too!


Any more gossip? Well, you know us, we ain’t ones to indulge, but we’re also hearing that Lauren may have an unexpected midwife when she goes into labour with Baby Beale No.2… as monster-in-law Cindy makes an unexpected return! Also is Joel seriously creeping anyone else out?

Monday 5th May 2025

In Lauren’s final midwife check-up, she worries when potential complications are discussed. She’s furious when Peter gets distracted and leaves to take a call.
Later, Lauren continues to worry at her and Peter’s engagement party and she takes some time out in the club office following an ill-judged comment from Ian. Kathy steps in and tries to help Lauren enjoy the party, but another problem arises when Cindy turns up.
Meanwhile, Billy finds Harry hungover at The Arches and tries to help him get back on track.
Elsewhere, Vicki steps in when Ross confronts Joel over constantly being on his phone. Ross bites back, insisting that he doesn’t need Vicki’s parenting help.
Also today, Zack ignores Vicki’s advice to stay out of the Mitchell family drama. He takes the direct approach by issuing a threat to Nicola.
Tuesday 6th May 2025

Peter tries to calm the situation as Cindy’s return causes problems. Lauren issues Peter with an ultimatum, ordering him to choose between her and Cindy. When the Beales and Knights all openly shun Cindy, she takes revenge by exposing Kathy’s secret.
Later, when Cindy heads off to speak to Lauren, she’s shocked to find her in labour.
Meanwhile, Gina and Jay meet up for a drink but get distracted when a drunken Harry arrives. Jay warns Nicola and Teddy, aware that they’ve been looking for Harry.
Gina becomes convinced that there’s more to this situation than the Mitchells are letting on. Her theory grows when she tries to seek answers from Harry but he stubbornly stays quiet.

An ambulance is delayed, so Cindy takes matters into her own hands to get Lauren to hospital.
Chelsea informs Peter that Lauren is in labour. How will it all go?
Meanwhile, Linda and George announce that The Vic will reopen tomorrow for VE Day. However, not everyone is in the mood to celebrate – including Mo and Zack, who don’t want to be part of the gathering so soon after Martin’s death.
Linda becomes concerned for Elaine following the Square’s reaction to the news about the pub, although Alfie tries to reassure her.
Elsewhere, Ross finally tells Vicki the truth about their debt and the real reason why they had to leave Australia.
Thursday 8th May 2025

The Square marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, but Nigel gets confused and believes that it’s 1995.
Jean finally persuades Mo that it’s okay to celebrate even though Martin has died, but Linda is determined to keep The Vic closed. When Linda spots that the market traders are full of VE Day spirit, she changes her mind and reopens the pub.
The Walford community is united as they celebrate those who have been lost – including Martin.
Meanwhile, Kathy seeks solace with Harvey but they’re interrupted by Jean, who fails to notice the romantic connection between them. Harvey decides to invite Kathy on a caravan holiday, but the plan is ruined when Jean finds the brochure and the Slaters assume that the break is for them.
Elsewhere, Vicki struggles to forgive Ross after yesterday’s revelations.
