EDITORIAL, Tuesday 4th March 2025

While the weather has been perking up a bit, at least where we are, things continue to movie apace at Elstree! We’ll had looks at some of the new sets that have been built, thanks to the sneaky press and said ‘hello’ again to Reiss, as he continues to haunt Bianca‘s nightmares…

On a sad note, it’s reached us as actress and broadcaster Kathryn Apanowicz, who played 80s resident Magda Czajkowski, has passed away after a long illness on Monday 3rd March. Our condolences to all who are affected by her passing, especially her loved ones.

We’re still adding more pictures to The Year Was… articles covering the 90s. Such a large part of what EastEnders is today can be found in those classic years: Cindy, Ian and Kathy, Grant, Nigel and Phil, Bianca and Tiffany… why not have a nose at year’s yonder and get the scoop!

Nicola calls Zack to the club as the pressure builds.

Desperate to flee from the tricky situation, Nicola books a trip to Spain for the family but is wrong-footed when Teddy refuses to attend.

Meanwhile, Jean is overwhelmed following Martin’s death but keeps rejecting Harvey’s attempts to help. Harvey heads to the café and confides in Kathy, which leads to the pair growing closer.

Elsewhere, Alfie persuades Kat to open up to Tommy after the recent tension between them. They seem to make progress during a heart-to-heart at the café, but Kat later panics when she finds out that Tommy has been left home alone with the twins. Kat ends up apologising to Tommy for her lack of trust in him.

Also today, Bianca realises how much Sonia is struggling after recent events.

Zack makes excuses to Sharon after the latest drama.

Sharon heads off to find Nicola at the club and they go head-to-head. Their confrontation plays out in front of Teddy, Harry and Barney, who are all confused. Will the truth be exposed?

Meanwhile, Kathy hosts an event at the café to encourage Walford’s men to open up over Martin’s death. Later, Kathy and Harvey share another warm moment.

Elsewhere, Kat tries to read Tommy’s messages with his online friend as she’s concerned over the situation. When Kat speaks to Tommy, he finally reveals all.

Also today, Kathy and Bianca discuss whether Sonia should attend Reiss’s funeral.

Harvey suggests that Kathy could cater for Martin’s funeral, but Jean explains that Ruby has already found someone.

Later, Harvey and Kathy meet for a picnic at the allotments. Their bond grows further and they end up sharing a surprise kiss.

Meanwhile, Zack and Sharon receive some startling information.

Elsewhere, Bianca’s attempts to convince Sonia to attend Reiss’s funeral fall flat. Later, Debbie’s mum Brenda arrives for a heart-to-heart with Sonia.

Also today, Tommy has an idea to help Lily when she explains how lonely she feels.

It’s the day of Reiss’s funeral – will Sonia attend after his terrible crimes?

Later, Bianca tries to support Sonia by arranging a surprise baby shower for her at the club. Nicola ruins the atmosphere with an ill-judged comment.

Meanwhile, Kat struggles to come to terms with Tommy’s new interest after his admission, but Alfie keeps an open mind. When Avani overhears the conversation, it leads to Tommy being teased by Nugget and Denzel.
