Walford Gazette #51

Greeting Walfordians! Hope Christmas was good to you all! We spent our time here at Gazette HQ on the edge of our seats as we saw Cindy make an enemy out of everyone in the Vic – but even we were gob-smacked when someone clobbered her across the head with a snow shovel!

We weren’t expecting it until Feb!

We would also like to welcome back Paul Bradley as Nigel Bates! It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Nige (some unnamed personnel here on staff had to be told who he was – for shame!), but the 90’s nostalgia has been coming thick and fast this year: CindyGate (all that was missing was a Kathy slap!), Ian‘s Christmas Day meltdown (Arthur gives it a ten!), the spot where Cindy lay… (18 years since Pauline!) – it’s all neat nods to the long history of our favourite show! And the cameos this year: David, Joe, Bianca (poor thing), Jake, Chrissie, Ruby… who’s next? Gita, Grant, Carol, Robbie… the sky’s the limit!

As for now, we have a wedding to prepare for… or will there be a more sombre service to attend..?

The Panesars continue to navigate life after what happened on New Year’s Eve.

The repercussions of Christmas continue to affect those living at The Vic. Before long, another shocking discovery is made.

Jean offers Stacey some advice on the situation with Martin. Later, Martin and Ruby update Stacey on how Roman is doing.

Phil surprises Billy with a hasty business decision.

Jack continues to grow closer to Denise as he comforts her following the events of New Year.

Sharon disapproves of Phil’s unexpected business decision and confronts him. As Sharon’s concerns grow over Phil’s recent behaviour, she tries to get Jay, Teddy and Billy to meet with her to discuss a possible intervention. However, the response to Sharon’s request isn’t what she’d expected.

Three Walford residents try to keep quiet about something that they’ve found, but this proves to be more difficult than they’d expected.

Kim is suspicious over Denise’s recent whereabouts, especially when her secretive sister receives a flower delivery. Later, Denise is forced to reveal everything to Kim following a misunderstanding.
