EDITORIAL, Thursday 5th December 2024
I know, I know, it’s only been two days, but in television anything can happen overnight!
First off, Tracey has been given her own spin-off! Our most loyal barmaid has been shrouded in mystery for nearly 40 years, but now we get to lift the lid on the enigma that is Tracey the Barmaid… Hey, maybe that is her surname!

Also there’s this lovely shot of Gillian Taylforth, aka Kathy Beale with visiting former co-star Ross Kemp (formerly Grant Mitchell), who is busy filming a documentary for the 40th Anniversary! Or could he possibly be persuaded to return on screen?
I’m still revamping of The Year Was… pages continues. Now completed as far as 2016.
And, again, because of Christmas, spoilers are being released slightly early. So be warned… Also, there is no episode on the 17th December. An episode airs on Friday 20th December instead!

Linda struggles after Elaine’s recent ultimatum.
She ultimately chooses alcohol and leaves The Vic, leading to a dangerous night of alcohol abuse.
Wednesday 18th December 2024

Lauren experiences withdrawal symptoms, but turns down the offer of more pills from Cindy. Peter rushes Lauren to hospital when her symptoms get worse. The couple are relieved when a scan confirms that their baby is fine.
Later, Cindy is horrified to realise that Lauren was using the drugs while pregnant. She threatens to tell Peter the truth unless Lauren comes clean herself.
Meanwhile, the donor liver for Roman’s planned transplant is ruled not to be viable, but Martin agrees to step in when he’s told that he’s a match. Lily worries about the surgery, pointing out the implications for Martin’s other children if it goes wrong.
Later, Martin confides in Stacey about the operation and tries to kiss her.
Elsewhere, Kim deals with some challenges while planning the Christmas carol concert.

Cindy continues to pressure Lauren, wanting her to be honest with Peter.
Peter confides in Ian about his concerns over Lauren’s moods. Ian suggests that Peter should prove his commitment to Lauren by proposing – will his son take this idea on board?
Meanwhile, Stacey and Martin are both confused after the kiss, so Stacey confides in Jean over the situation.
Elsewhere, Avani starts working at the salon on a casual basis. While Avani and Denise work at the salon, two masked men arrive and reveal that they’ve been sent by Nish.

Ravi consoles Avani following her ordeal with Denise at the salon. He heads over to find Denise, but discovers that she’s in the middle of a panic attack.
Once Denise calms down, Ravi questions her on why she’s so worried about Nish returning to Walford. Will she tell him the truth?
Meanwhile, Cindy fights dirty.
Elsewhere, Jean makes plans for Christmas while Stacey frets over Martin.
