Ayesha Siddhu was contacted by Nish Panesar, who sought her forgiveness for killing her husband, Hardeep, over two decades earlier. Nish, hoping to atone for his actions, faced a resolute Ayesha, who had long since moved on and built a new life.

In a pivotal conversation with Suki, Ayesha learned the tragic misunderstanding that led to Hardeep’s death. Nish believed Suki and Hardeep were having an affair, which drove him to commit the heinous act in a fit of jealous rage. This revelation, rather than softening Ayesha’s stance, solidified her refusal to accept Nish’s apology. She made it clear that forgiveness was off the table, but she shared how she had channelled her pain into something positive by starting a support group for LGBTQ+ Sikhs.

If Nish had any hope that Ayesha would be his ally, it left him with egg on his face when it was clear that not only were Suki and Ayesha at peace, but were also committed to their new lives.
