Rosie Miller’s life was anything but easy. She endured a tragic childhood, losing her mother to suicide and having to grow up with her brother Clint and other siblings. Her first marriage to Mike Swann resulted in two children, Mickey and Dawn, but Mike left when the kids were very young, disappearing from their lives for years. Rosie later found love again with Keith Miller, who embraced her children and fathered twins, Darren and Demi, with her. Keith, however, was notoriously work-shy, preferring to lounge around watching TV and making excuses rather than finding a job.

From her debut in 2004, Rosie was seen as the hardworking backbone of her family. Juggling multiple cleaning jobs, she also took care of her granddaughter Aleesha while Darren and Demi attended school. Things got complicated in December 2005 when Rosie’s estranged husband Mike reappeared, homeless and staying with the Millers. Old flames reignited, leading to an affair that had Rosie planning to leave Keith and take Darren, Demi, and Aleesha with her. Mickey and Dawn discovered her plans, and after some soul-searching, Rosie decided not to take the twins away from their father, choosing to stay with Keith instead.

Keith eventually moved back in and proposed, though he wasn’t keen on actually getting married. After much delay, the wedding was set for 4th July 2006 at Walford Register Office, but Keith arrived late and muddy, prompting Rosie to jilt him at the altar. The next day, she told Keith she no longer loved him and planned to take a job in the Cotswolds, intending to bring Darren, Demi, and Aleesha along. Despite Keith’s manipulation to make Darren join them, Rosie saw how distressed he was and decided to let him stay in Walford, understanding his attachment to their home.

In July 2008, Rosie reached out to Keith about a job, leading him and Mickey to join her in the Cotswolds. By October 2008, Dawn revealed that Rosie and Keith had reconciled, bringing their family back together.
