Eddie Skinner made quite an entrance when he arrived in Walford for his aunt Ethel Skinner’s funeral. Rather than just paying his respects and leaving, Eddie decided to stick around, taking up lodging with the Fowlers at 45 Albert Square, along with his daughter Kerry Skinner. Eddie was no stranger to the area, having been born and bred in Walford. He had a history with many of the locals, such as Pat Evans, Mo Harris, Pauline Fowler, and Dot Cotton, and he also had connections with Den Watts, Pete Beale, Arthur Fowler, Angie Watts, and Kathy Beale from his younger days before he left Walford in 1970.
Eddie quickly found himself a job working on Mark Fowler’s stall, but it wasn’t long before his attention shifted to a more personal interest: developing a crush on Mark’s mother, Pauline Fowler. Unfortunately for Eddie, Pauline didn’t feel the same way. Things took a turn when it came to light that Eddie had spent some time in prison with none other than Walford’s bad boy, Nick Cotton. Nick was ready to spill the beans to Pauline, but Eddie decided to come clean first. This revelation didn’t do much to help his chances with Pauline, though.
Despite the drama, Eddie continued to make a mark on the Square, though his time there was relatively short-lived. Eventually, Eddie decided to move on from Walford, leaving his whereabouts a mystery.
