Tina Stewart’s time in Albert Square was as dramatic as it was brief. Known for being Johnny Allen’s long-time mistress, Tina supported him through some dark times, including the tragic loss of his wife and daughter in a house fire. In January 2005, Johnny moved to Albert Square and set Tina up in a flat at 91A George Street, keeping her close yet still a secret. Despite the secrecy, Tina quickly made friends, including Pat Evans, who soon figured out the nature of Tina and Johnny’s relationship.

Johnny, ever the charmer, gave Tina a job as a waitress at his nightclub, Scarlet. Tired of their hidden relationship, Tina contemplated leaving, but Pat convinced her to stay and offered her a room at 31 Albert Square. Things became more complicated when Tina started to get to know Johnny’s daughter, Ruby. Initially, Johnny had kept Tina and Ruby apart, telling Ruby they had only been together for a month. But when Ruby found a photo of Tina and Johnny from years ago, the truth came out, revealing they had been together for a decade. Ruby was heartbroken by the deception but eventually accepted their relationship, allowing Tina to move in with Johnny at 5 Albert Square.

Life seemed to settle into a routine for Tina until Johnny hired an attractive new barmaid, Amy, at Scarlet. Ruby caught Johnny kissing Amy and spilled the beans to Tina. In a shocking display of nonchalance, Johnny admitted to the fling and dismissed Tina’s concerns, telling her to get over it. This cavalier attitude was the final straw for Tina, who realized Johnny’s true nature. Disillusioned and heartbroken, Tina fled Albert Square for good.
