Shenice Quinn brought a burst of youthful energy and a fair share of drama to Walford. Daughter of Kat Moon’s old pal Martina from Spain, Shenice’s arrival at The Queen Vic was met with an immediate splash – literally – when Kat doused Martina with water. The history between the two women was anything but smooth, thanks to Martina reporting Kat and Alfie to the Spanish police. Despite the rocky start, Kat let Shenice and Martina stay after hearing about their struggles.

Life at The Queen Vic was anything but dull with Shenice around. After a night out, Martina crashed in bed all day while Kat discovered Shenice playing dress-up with her clothes and makeup. Shenice flinched when Kat scolded her, thinking she was going to be hit. Things escalated when Shenice got caught trying to nick cigarettes from the local shop. Martina, in a drunken haze, called Shenice useless, but the young girl assured Kat and Alfie that her mum didn’t mean it when she was drunk.

Martina soon decided to move out, but not before forgetting Shenice’s birthday, prompting Kat and Alfie to throw a party. Shenice clashed with Tiffany Butcher over matching outfits, and halfway through the party, she had to leave as Martina found a new place. Their departure left Kat and Alfie heartbroken.

Kat and Alfie’s holiday in Spain ended with Shenice returning to Walford. She and Tiffany became friends, though Shenice often felt bored with Kat preoccupied with baby Tommy. Shenice bonded with Jean Slater over gardening, and when it was time for her to go back to Spain, she begged to stay in Walford. Alfie agreed, and Shenice was enrolled at Walford Primary School. Christmas 2011 was spent with Kat and Alfie, but drama ensued when Jean’s bipolar episode made her believe Shenice was an angel sent by her daughter, Stacey. Shenice managed to escape Jean’s ice skating adventure in pyjamas and alerted Kat and Alfie.

Jean’s mental health eventually improved, and Shenice, though cautious, let Jean become her honorary grandma. But Shenice’s time in Walford had to come to an end. She went back to Spain to visit Martina and decided to stay there for good. Kat revealed to Alfie that Shenice wouldn’t be coming back, leaving the Square a little quieter without her bright presence.
