Owen Turner rolled into Walford bringing a whole lot of baggage and more drama than a daytime soap. Denise Fox’s ex-husband and father to her daughter, Libby, Owen was looking to reconnect but ended up causing chaos. His arrival was anything but smooth. After a failed attempt to reconcile with Denise that ended in a rather dramatic fork stabbing incident (thanks to his violent outburst), Owen found himself behind bars.

Owen didn’t just stop at making a scene; he went all out. In a misguided effort to bond with Libby, he kidnapped her, took her to Epping Forest in a stolen car, and tried to end both their lives. Thankfully, Libby escaped, and Owen got a five-year prison sentence for his trouble.

By 2009, Owen was back, claiming to be a changed man. Libby was willing to give him a chance, much to Denise’s annoyance. His return to Walford wasn’t exactly welcomed by everyone, particularly Denise’s fiancé, Lucas. The tension between Owen and Lucas quickly escalated into an alleyway brawl. Owen wasn’t fooled by Lucas’s good-guy act and made it clear he knew Lucas was hiding something sinister.

Owen managed to squeeze in a brief romance with Ronnie Mitchell before focusing back on Lucas. Convinced Lucas had a hand in the death of his estranged wife, Trina, Owen threatened to go to the police. That proved to be a fatal mistake. Lucas, not one to take threats lightly, strangled Owen and buried his body under Trina’s memorial tree.
