Rob Grayson was the smooth-talking charmer who turned out to be anything but charming. Making his first appearance, Rob swooped in like a knight in shining armour when he rescued Whitney Dean from a botched pickpocketing attempt. He bought her a meal and gave her his number, promising a way out of Walford whenever she needed. Little did Whitney know, Rob’s intentions were far from noble.

Whitney, feeling isolated and rejected by her friends and family, eventually reached out to Rob, who whisked her away to his place. It wasn’t long before Lauren Branning, ever the detective, tracked Whitney down to Dartford. Despite Whitney’s insistence that she was in love and happy, Lauren sensed something was off. Rob’s true colours began to show when he threatened Lauren to stay away and used Whitney to pay off his debts. Things took a darker turn when Rob dragged Whitney to a house where she met another girl, Chloe, who was also being exploited. Whitney’s attempt to escape was a dramatic leap through a window, but she managed to get away and return to Walford.

Rob wasn’t done with Whitney yet. When she started dating a man named Lee, it turned out Lee was one of Rob’s associates. Rob manipulated the situation to meet Whitney again, charming her until she realised the truth. She managed to escape once more, this time heading to Southend-on-Sea. But Rob followed her, professing his twisted version of love. When Fatboy intervened, Rob’s violent side emerged, leading to a confrontation that ended with Ryan Malloy arriving to settle the score.

The final showdown between Rob and Ryan was as dramatic as any EastEnders moment. They fought on the pier, and both ended up in the water. A body was later recovered, and it was revealed to be Rob’s. His reign of terror over Whitney and others came to a watery end, but not before leaving a lasting impact on those he manipulated.
