Faith Olubunmi’s time in Walford was nothing short of a whirlwind. Sent to Nigeria by her grandmother, Grace, to straighten out her life, Faith returned to the Square in September 2011, bringing with her a knack for stirring up trouble. Her first order of business was to inform Fatboy that his marriage to Mercy was annulled and to demand his wedding ring for a quick sale. Staying with Grace, Faith wasted no time in making her presence felt, attending a party where she kissed several men and later hosting her own bash at Grace’s house. Things took a turn when she and Fatboy were caught in a compromising position by Grace, leading to a dramatic eviction after a drunken Faith stumbled home the next day.
Finding herself homeless, Faith began squatting with Donnie Lester and Ava Bourne. The trio resorted to petty theft to survive, and in a particularly memorable moment, Faith traded a romp with Fatboy for a hot shower. Despite Grace’s attempts to place her in emergency care, Faith’s rebellious streak continued. The squat soon became their official hostel, where Faith’s complicated relationships with Donnie and Fatboy unfolded. She discovered Donnie’s illiteracy and even offered to teach him to read, but her good intentions were met with rejection from both men.
Faith’s knack for uncovering secrets didn’t stop there. She learned about Ava’s past involvement in an arson attack and, in a moment of betrayal, called a newspaper to expose her. However, when Ava revealed she had been raped by their keyworker, Richard Vance, Faith’s actions took a backseat as Donnie’s eavesdropping led to Richard’s arrest. Journalists swarmed, but Faith, ever the drama queen, distracted them by confronting them in a bikini, allowing Donnie and Ava to slip away unnoticed.
Faith’s escapades didn’t end with her love life or her knack for causing chaos. She also managed to kiss Anthony Moon before her departure and struck up a friendship with Mandy Salter. Her time in Walford was brief but unforgettable, leaving a trail of scandal and broken hearts in her wake.
