Michael Moon, the charming rogue of Albert Square, made quite the entrance in 2010. With a penchant for danger and a knack for manipulation, Michael was never one to shy away from a risky move. His arrival was marked by his flashy demeanour and competitive nature, traits that often left those around him wary. Love was a complicated affair for Michael, especially with his lukewarm relationship with his son, Tommy. However, his pursuit of Janine Butcher revealed a softer side, albeit one that was still shrouded in ulterior motives. Convincing Janine to rip up their prenup on their wedding day was classic Michael – bold, brash, and a tad suspicious.

Despite choosing Janine over a suitcase of money, Michael’s true intentions were always in question. When Janine left The Square, Michael was left holding the baby – quite literally. His attempts at fatherhood with baby Scarlett were met with scepticism, but with a little help from Kat and a smitten Alice, he managed to form a bond with his daughter. Of course, this didn’t stop him from rekindling an affair with Kat when Alfie asked for a divorce. Classic Michael, always mixing business with pleasure.

Janine’s return to The Square brought more drama than a Christmas special. She took Scarlett from Michael and banned him from seeing her, but Michael, ever the schemer, used Alice to sneak in secret daddy-daughter meetings. When Alice spilled the beans to Janine, it led to another dramatic exit for Janine, who vowed Michael would never see Scarlett again. Yet, Michael’s reverse psychology worked wonders, and Janine couldn’t resist the pull of Walford’s glamour.

Michael’s manipulative streak didn’t end there. He managed to bed Alice, despite her dating Tamwar, and used her to get back at Janine. His jealousy over Janine’s involvement with Danny Pennant only fuelled his antics. Deleting messages from Alice’s phone was a step too far, leading her back to Tamwar. But Michael’s battles with Janine were far from over, especially with an injunction in place.

The climax of Michael’s story was nothing short of a thriller. Using Alice in a plot to kill Janine, things took a dark turn when Alice got cold feet and stabbed Michael in a fit of panic. Michael’s final moments were a chaotic mix of betrayal and violence, ending with Janine delivering the fatal blow.
