He’s back, and it’s about time!
For the first time since he walked out on Carol in 2014, David Wicks is back next week (w/c 7th October, note-takers!) in time to help daughter Bianca out a scrap or two! Can he get to the bottom of her erratic behaviour and help get Sonia out of nick? Or should the question be just how long David will stick around for? He does have a habit of disappearing and this is only a brief return…

There’s also the question of how old flame Cindy Beale will react to his presence? They haven’t seen each other since he left her to board the EuroStar to France, all those years ago in 1996 when she snatched Peter and Steven! Long time fans may also recall that due to some loose maths done in the 1980s David is also Ian’s half brother!
For more on David you can read his bio right here on A Walk Through Walford, where out Past Residents page is growing every day with more biographies than the Vic has served one of Aunt Babe’s trifles!

Yolande is informed that another woman has come forward in the case against Pastor Clayton. When Yolande then takes part in the Harvest Festival celebrations at the community centre, Stella turns up and asks her to retract her statement against Pastor Clayton. Yolande refuses and shares some home truths. Later, Pastor Clayton barges into Yolande’s home when she’s alone and demands to speak to her.
Meanwhile, Bianca continues to investigate Reiss and she’s shocked when she reads the contents of a mysterious letter at No.25. Later, Debbie’s parents turn up with a solicitor to read the contents of her will. Reiss asks Bianca to leave, but she listens in and is surprised to hear Debbie’s requests.
Elsewhere, Alfie closes the bookies to deal with Tommy when he bunks off school, but this leads to him losing his job.
Also today, Anna and Freddie agree to be friends again and they head on a bird watch.

Trigger warning: suicide
Pastor Clayton urges Yolande to change her statement, but she refuses. He’s forced to leave when Denzel turns up and kicks him out. Yolande draws strength from standing up to the Pastor, but the evening takes a shocking turn when the police arrive and reveal that Pastor Clayton has died by suicide.
Meanwhile, Bianca’s suspicions over Reiss are bigger than ever following the will reading. She tries to confide in Kat, who’s concerned for her and suggests she should book a GP appointment. Later, Bianca hides Freddie’s microphone from bird watching in No.25 so she can try to record a confession from Reiss.
Elsewhere, Cindy heads off to Beale’s Eels for another passionate encounter with Junior.
Also today, Tommy tries to deceive Kat and Alfie with a nice guy act, and George struggles to bond with Kojo.
