Name: Donna Yates
First Appeared: 14th April 2014
Last Appeared: 20th July 2018
Played by: Lisa Hammond

From the moment she arrived from Spring Lane Market onto Bridge Street, Donna Yates made it clear she wasn’t here to make friends – she was here to win. With her brash attitude and no-nonsense approach, she quickly declared war on her stall rival, Kat Moon, with Donna’s sharp tongue and fierce determination making her a force to be reckoned with.

Despite her tough exterior, Donna had a heart of gold, especially when it came to her friends and family. Her bond with Vincent Hubbard, her foster brother, was particularly strong. They shared a complicated history, but their loyalty to each other was unwavering. Donna’s softer side also eventually shone through in her interactions with the market traders. Whether she was helping out a fellow stallholder or standing up for what she believed in, Donna had loyalty in spades.

Her usual stern attitude was softened by a relationship of sorts with Arthur “Fatboy” Chubb. Their relationship was filled with sweet moments and plenty of laughs, proving that even the toughest characters have a soft spot. Donna also had a soft spot for Shrimpy and wound him up continuously!

Donna faced numerous challenges, but she never let them hold her back. Her campaign for better facilities on the market improved the market for herself but also for future generations, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
