Sandy’s backstory is a rollercoaster of highs and lows. She met the notorious Nick Cotton in a squat, and their brief fling resulted in the birth of Dotty. Life wasn’t kind to Sandy, who struggled with alcoholism and the chaos that came with being involved with Nick. But despite her troubles, Sandy’s determination to reconnect with Dotty showed a softer, more vulnerable side to her tough exterior.

Fast forward to 2021, and Sandy made a dramatic return to Walford, gate crashing a party at Ruby’s and turning heads once again. This time, she brought with her a bombshell revelation: Dotty’s real father was none other than Tom Cotton, not Nick. Talk about dropping a plot twist!

Sandy’s relationship with Dotty has always been complicated. From their initial reunion to the ups and downs of trying to rebuild their bond, Sandy’s love for her daughter was evident, even if her methods were a bit, well, warped. Her attempts to make amends and be a part of Dotty’s life added layers to her character, showing that even the most flawed individuals can strive for redemption.

In the end, Dotty tried to get her mother into rehab – but it just wouldn’t take. Sandy then left Walford, and Tom, aka Rocky had to explain to Dotty that he wasn’t her dad – she was indeed Nick’s daughter! But he was always willing to be one should she need him.
