Whether she was pulling pints at The Queen Vic or standing up for her loved ones, Nancy Carter always made sure her presence was felt. 

Nancy’s love life was as eventful as a Walford market day. She was initially engaged to Wayne Ladlow, but that relationship ended faster than you can say “dodgy geezer” when she realised he wasn’t the one for her. Nancy then had a brief fling with Dexter Hartman, but it was her relationship with Tamwar Masood that truly captured our hearts. Their quirky romance, filled with awkward moments and genuine affection, was a breath of fresh air in the often crazy world of Albert Square! 

One of the most challenging aspects of Nancy’s life was her battle with epilepsy. Her condition led to some dramatic moments, including a seizure at the park and another in The Queen Vic’s cellar. But true to form, Nancy faced her struggles head-on, refusing to let her epilepsy define her. Her determination and resilience were truly inspiring, showing that even in the face of adversity, she could still hold her own. 

Her relationship with her parents, Mick and Linda, was filled with both love and tension. She often found herself caught in the middle of their dramas, but her loyalty to her family never wavered. 
 
In 2022, Nancy decided to leave Walford for a fresh start in Manchester. Her departure was a bittersweet moment for the Carter family and the residents of Albert Square. But knowing Nancy, she’s probably shaking things up in Manchester just as much as she did in Walford.
