Lisa Fowler first appeared in Walford as the assistant market inspector, not exactly a job that led to glamour or class. In fact, Lisa was constantly looked over by the main men, mainly due to the fact that her best friend was Melanie Owen, stunner supreme! She briefly took the affections of Michael Rose, but while he first rocked her boat, she didn’t find the paradise she was sailing for. She found that in Phil, who in true Mitchell style, proceeded to treat her like dirt, telling her get an abortion when pregnant, yelling during miscarriage etc. Life with Phil Mitchell was hell for Lisa – and she still stayed!

Eventually something had to budge. The result: the “Who Shot Phil?” storyline? Spoiler alert: it was Lisa! Their on-again, off-again romance was a rollercoaster ride that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. And let’s not forget her marriage to Mark Fowler, which added another layer of complexity to her already dramatic life.

The most significant moment in Lisa’s life was the birth of her daughter, Louise. Lisa’s fierce determination to protect her daughter led to her escaping from the Square, but Phil followed and mentally crippled her before taking his child. Lisa eventually returned to Walford and only secured her daughter’s return by working with Den Watts!

In true Lisa fashion, her story has been one of many comebacks. Just when you thought she’d left Walford for good, she’d reappear, bringing with her a fresh wave of drama. Whether it was returning to support Louise or facing off against old foes, Lisa’s resilience and fighting spirit never wavered: when she gets knocked down, somehow she gets back up again. It’s highly doubtful we’ve seen the last of her…
