DCI Sam Keeble, with her sharp tongue and her disingenuous smile first arrived on the beat as an investigator in the Max Branning hit-and-run case. She was relentless in her pursuit of the truth, much to the annoyance of Max’s ex-wife, Tanya. But it wasn’t just the Brannings who felt the heat of Keeble’s scrutiny. Over the years, she tangled with some of Walford’s most notorious residents, including the ever-elusive Phil Mitchell. Her vendetta against Phil became personal, with Keeble popping up at the most inconvenient times to remind him that the long arm of the law was never far behind.

Taking over from DCI Irving, Keeble’s dogged determination to solve the murder of Lucy Beale led to some dramatic twists and she was convinced Max Branning was the man for the cell. Her eventual dismissal from the case after the real killer was revealed didn’t deter her; if anything, it made her more determined to prove herself.

Promoted to DCI, she was back on Phil Mitchell’s trail a few years later, this time investigating his involvement in Vincent Hubbard’s murder. Her relentless pursuit of Phil revealed her vendetta against the Mitchells: Her father, Malcolm Keeble, had been killed by Phil’s father, Eric Mitchell, during a robbery, and Keeble was determined to settle the score.

In the end, Keeble’s obsession with the Mitchells led to her downfall. Realizing that her vendetta was consuming her, she decided to retire and move to Crete, leaving behind the chaos of Walford for a quieter life!
