As a successful lawyer, Gray appeared to have it all: a beautiful wife, Chantelle, and two adorable children, Mia and Mackenzie. However, beneath this polished exterior lay a much darker reality. Gray’s controlling and abusive behaviour towards Chantelle soon came to light, revealing the sinister side of his nature… 

After months of abuse, Chantelle finally plucked up the courage to leave Gray, but he wasn’t convinced and pushed her aside – straight onto an open dishwasher drawer, which left her impaled on a blade. He then left her for dead, playing the grieving husband when the police were called. 

Gray’s reign of terror didn’t end with Chantelle’s death. Tina Carter got too close when she recognised his bullying behaviour and he callously strangled her and left her body mere yards away from the Vic. He also pushed Kush Kazemi in front of a train, seconds after he himself had been saved by Kush from a similar fate! Eventually, his twisted obsession with control moved from Whitney to Chelsea, where he made the mistake of underestimating the women of Walford. 

With Whitney and Chelsea onto him, the Carters ready for revenge and Karen refusing to let him near his children, Gray got desperate. He raced to the top of the train track above Bridge Street, but before he could jump (or be pushed) he was saved by Whitney. No, Gray would go to prison and serve time for the people he killed. He was led of the Square by police and sentenced – where he will rot for quite some time…
