You have a tendency to hear Bianca Jackson before you see her – and it’s handy to keep a pair of ear plugs handy if you’re either a) not on her side, b) in her way or c) named Ricky.

Since arriving in 1993 with the rest of the Jackson clan, Bianca is certainly the brassiest of this family tree! From her teenage romance with Ricky Butcher that prompted her infamous calling cry to an almost romance with her birth father David Wicks, it’s unclear whether Bianca causes the drama or just goes looking for it, but she’s usually an epically good judge of character.

In late 2024 she returned with a purpose: to rescue her little sister Sonia from prison, where she’s been accused of murder! Bianca didn’t like shifty Reiss Colwell from day one, and she came back to Walford to prove it! She eventually discovered the truth, but Reiss tricked her into a soundproofed lockup in – and locked her in…

For three months, living on dry biscuits, sandwiches and Reiss’ hoard of classic quiz shows on video, and eventually she came up with a plan – she would confess to killing Debbie and Sonia would be let go! She recorded a confession and off he went – securing Sonia’s release but decided, on reflection, that it was safer to leave B to die where she was!

Unfortunately, in some haste, he left the lockup, well, unlocked, and Bianca ferociously broke free just in time to save Sonia from her mad partner! She also helped her give birth to her niece Julia, but Bianca was still traumatised by what Reiss had done to her. What she needed, right now, was peace. She finally got it, when she and Sonia set course for a new life in Bali!
