When Sharon attended Gavin Sullivan’s funeral, she was bemused to find a handsome strange man, jumping on tables, disparaging her late father and generally causing chaos with every drunken step he took. And that was her introduction to her half-brother Zack, who promptly followed her home to Walford, having nowhere to go and having no concept that the fact that ‘loving’ and ‘family’ could go in the same sentence!

Zack and Gavin had not been bosom buddies. Zack was handsome, brave and loyal, but also had his demons: he used to do steroids and had an unhealthy relationship with his appearance, but since he came to Walford he’s found something he didn’t know existed: unconditional love.

Sharon and Zack have become quite the team, always having the other’s back. He’s been through the loss of his daughter and his relationship with Whitney and a HIV diagnosis to boot, but never fear, Zack will bounce back!

He loves life too much not to try.
