Name: Phil Mitchell
First Appeared: 20th February 1990
Played by: Steve McFadden

The undisputed king of the hard men of Walford, from the moment Phil Mitchell first stepped onto the Square in 1990 with his brother Grant, history was made. While Mitchell family members have been and gone over the years, Phil has been an the centre of the family since day one, making sure they stay in line, keep his secrets to themselves and never, ever, involve the police!

He’s been involved in many a crime: dodgy notes, dodgy robberies, dodgy laptops, dodgy phones – if it’s dodgy, stolen or laundered, Phil is usually the one behind it! He’s ferociously loyal (after all, Peggy taught him that it’s all about “faaaamily”) and, despite usually getting it wrong, there’s one thing Phil loves more than anything else, and that’s his children, Ben, Louise and Raymond.

When there isn’t a bottle of whiskey tempting him to throw it all away, that is…
