To say that Lauren’s upbringing was tumultuous is like describing World War II as a playground skirmish! Trapped in the guerrilla war that was Max and Tanya’s marriage, it’s no wonder Lauren had already become an alcoholic and attempted murderer by the age of 18! Yes, she’s run her own father over and left him to die, dabbled in drugs, drowned herself in a bottle to the point that another drop will kill her and that’s without going into her dating life: Jake, Tyler, Dean, Joey, Steven… each one more disastrous than the last.
There is one man for her: her teenage sweetheart Peter Beale. They have sons Louie and Jimmy together and in 2024 they returned home to Walford to begin again.
Are they mature enough to make it this time? They’re newly-weds now… So can these two keep the spark alive? Or will Lauren find an enemy in Cindy, the Mother-In-Law from Hell?
