Known for her leopard print, her brass personality and her unwavering commitment to her family, Kat Mitchell is the epitome of the image of the ‘little girl lost’.

Abused as a child by her uncle Harry and forced to be separated from her children, Kat grew up in the role of the ‘tart with a heart’, frequently acting as temptress and drunkenly seducing the men of her choice. But deep down, all Kat wanted was to be loved and accepted and as soon as she laid eyes on Alfie Moon, we knew they were destiny.

But destiny is a fickle thing, and now Kat, after separating from second husband Phil, and raising her three boys on her own, found a new challenge in the teenage behaviour of son Tommy. The situation was fraught with tension – but some brightness shone through – Kat and Alfie reunited, as we knew they were always destined to. They married, with Mo as their celebrant, on top of red double-decker bus and looked to the stars and their futures…
