George’s son from his first marriage, Junior had still been finding his feet on the Square and as part of the Knight family. He had kept away for a long time, and though the exact details weren’t known, it was clear that he and his father didn’t see eye to eye.

He hadn’t had much of a relationship with his half-sisters either, but slowly — as seen with his relationship with newfound uncle Kojo — he had seemed willing to try.

His love life, on the other hand, had been a different story. His wife Monique and son Xavier had arrived with him, but she had fled when it turned out that he’d cheated within hours of being on the Square — and it hadn’t been the first time. Before long, he and his father’s ex-wife Cindy Beale had been stealing every moment they could together, in the midst of a passionate affair.

This hadn’t ended well for anybody, of course, and if history had taught us anything, it was that Junior should never, ever have tried to play games with Cindy Beale. Despite his betrayal, Junior had eventually made up with his family. When he was offered a job in Dubai, closer to son Xavier, he had turned it down. But after making peace with his family and assuring them he’d keep in touch, Junior had done the right thing — and left for Dubai.
