For any good quality Jack has, he has five more that contradict. It’s the Branning side of him, quick to ensure he’s in complete control. But it gets him into trouble.

He has a thing for Mitchells, Mitchell women in particular (he’s made mothers of Ronnie, Roxy and Sam – Peggy fled before he arrived and Phil isn’t his type!) and he’s been involved in more dodgy schemes than he’s been through women – which is saying a lot. Jack’s a player, and he goes all in – as his recent affair with Stacey Slater proved. It’s a shame that, just like his brother Max, Jack’s favourite sound is the sound of his belt-buckle…

He’s also a copper with a side-line in bending the truth. He’s a good dad – just don’t ask Amy, Ricky or Penny! They probably wouldn’t agree!
