Howie Danes was a clown. No, honestly, quite seriously, that’s what he was. A children’s entertainer when we first met him, Howie came onto the Square in search of peace: he had witnessed the murder of Vincent Hubbard and has found his wallet. He decided to use the identity, which of course, got him noticed by Vincent’s widowed wife Kim Fox.

After she was done with the shouting (and it’s lucky for Howie she was too stunned for more), Kim asked Howie for help in bringing her husband’s killer to justice – even if that meant taking on Phil Mitchell! When his son Denzel arrived on the Square, Kim found herself with two men to look after, fuss over and create unnecessary drama for!

Good for Howie. He didn’t find peace, but he must have the patience of a saint…
