Working on her mother’s hat stall was never going to please Cindy Williams – no, she wanted money and status and power and was not one to live a boring, discontented little housewife. That’s why it didn’t work between her and first husband Ian Beale. At least that’s what she would tell you – never mind her habit of jumping into bed with his relatives or finding a more ‘formidable’ love-maker elsewhere!

Alas, eventually even Cindy had enough of Ian and hired a hitman, as you do, a move that ended up costing Cindy her life. Kinda.

With the world believing her dead, Cindy became Rose and made a lovely life for herself in Spain with George Knight and daughters Anna and Gina. Now she’s reunited with Ian and their surviving child Peter and is back from the dead and on the Square!

Surely now that she’s older and wiser, she knows exactly what she wants right? And if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Cindy Beale over the years, it’s that she always gets what she wants…
