Name: Billy Mitchell
First Appeared: 2nd November 1998
Played by: Perry Fenwick

Arriving in Albert Square as a small-time crook, Billy was a bully who did the Michell brothers’ (his cousins Grant and Phil), dirty work for them – and then usually got bullied himself. Always desperate for his family’s approval and always seen as the runt, Billy Mitchell, over the years found himself the laughing stock of the family and never held in high regard.

But that’s a good thing! Who wants to be a crook, when you can be lovable? Through his relationship with wife Honey and their children Janet and William – not to mention his close bond with Jay Brown – Billy happens to be happy with what he’s got, having cleaned up his act. And now, with recent revelations, he now has a new brother and nephews to engage with!

Things are looking up, eh Billy? You’ll be out of Phil’s shadow in no time…
