Last Appeared: 3rd January 2022
Played by: Priya Davdra

As the elder sister of Habiba Ahmed, Iqra quickly established herself as a no-nonsense, bold, and intelligent individual, clearly the one in charge. She began by taking over the local restaurant with Habiba and exposing the deceitful Adam Bateman, who was cheating on Honey with her sister. Iqra believed in honesty and it showed.

In a community where secrets are hard to keep, Iqra’s revelation that she was a lesbian was both brave and ground-breaking. She introduced her girlfriend, Ash Kaur, to her family and the residents of Walford, navigating the complexities of her identity with her faith.

Iqra’s entrepreneurial spirit shone through when she teamed up with Keegan Baker to start a sandwich business, much to the chagrin of Ian Beale. But Iqra’s determination and quick wit often got the better of Ian’s weaselly ways. Whether it was dealing with business sabotage or handling the pressures of running a start-up, Iqra’s resilience and resourcefulness were always on display.

Her relationship with Ash, however, was not without its challenges. The couple faced numerous obstacles, from family disapproval to personal insecurities. Despite their best efforts, the relationship eventually ended, leading Iqra to find solace and new beginnings with Mila Marwa. This new relationship brought its own set of adventures, including becoming the joint legal guardian of Mila’s sister, Kioni.

Iqra left to live closer to her new job at a hotel, taking with her the lessons learned and the bonds formed in Albert Square.
